No Sparge London Porter
9 pounds Maris Otter
1.75 pounds Brown Malt
1.25 pounds of 40L Crystal
1/4 pound light chocolate malt
1 ounce of Fuggles at 60
1/2 ounce of Fuggles at 15 with Irish Moss
Mashed in with 8.5 gallons of water to get 150 mash. 90 minute mash, 90 minute boil hit 1055 which pushes the efficiency to around 60%. Not bad.
Used Wyeast 1968.
Going into the keg tomorrow morning, the yeast cake is being used for an ESB, ten gallon batch.
Tasting notes---nice, the chocolate and coffee notes are stronger than before. A very good ale, chock full of flavor, but still easy drinking.
